The Sega Dreamcast was the first 128 bit console
and a remarkable comeback for Sega. At least for a short time.
The DC has a great Launch and continued on with strong sales until the competition arrived in 2001.
Great games like San Francisco Rush 2049 & NFL
2K series graced the system. Quirky games like SeaMan &
Space Channel 5 are great additions in the library.

Half Life for the DC was never actually released but was leaked onto the Net . While not totaly complete
to take advantage of the VMU for the DC ( A whole VMU will be eaten up quick), the game does have all the original levels
plus the expansion pack Blue Shift. The graphics look great and compare with
the PC version, especially if you you use a PC monitor cable for higher resolution. If you can download this and know how
to burn the CDI image with Disc Juggler then you can attain this rather
quickly depending on your internet connection......10 rating *

The Dreamcast has its share of racing games, varying in quality from excellent to piss-poor. This game fits squarely
in the excellent department. The Rush series has had its ups & downs but this game is definitely is the best iteration
yet (thats including the new L.A RUSH on the PS2 & XBOX). The graphics are very nice for the DC and the tracks are quality, short cuts are a nice addition
to the racing. The control is very good and the frame rate is very smooth a s well. I highly recommend this title for racing
fans..................................................10 rating *

Starlancer is an online space shooter originaly debuting on the PC. An excellent but often
tough game, Starlancer is one of the few games that is still online which is hosted by Gamespy. Six players play on line at once and tha action is smooth. There is different modes like Deathmatch, team play,
capture the flag, nuclear and Vampire. Any space-shooter fan should pick this one up........................................................8.5

Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense
|
Vigilante 8: 2ND Offense is a good car combat style game. If you've played the first one on
the PSone then the gameplay should be very familiar to you. The story is about time travel and offers a slighty different
take on the story with each character. The levels are nicely designed for combat with warps and jumps and the weapons are
a nice variety. Multiplayer is a blastespecially since the DC has four ports. The game loses a bit of detail in split screen
mode but the game plays just the same. The graphics are a lot better theb the N64 version and controls very smoothly. Recommended.......................................................7.5

Rainbow 6

This game was delayed a lot for DC but i'm glad because they got it right...except for the
fact that there is no online multiplayer. This is the squad shooter that really got the genre off and the DC version is a
nice port. I think this is definitely one to add to your DC collection. While this is not the best choice if you own the PC
version it is the best choice if you own a PSone, N64 and a DC. Recommended...............................8.0 rating

Star Wars Episode I: Racer

WipeOut came out back in 96' and changed how futuristic racing games on consoles, but
none really captured what WipeOut did for gaming. That has all changed with this hover craft style game. The tracks are nice
and well detailed and there is a variety of ships to choose. The grahics look really good on the Dreamcast and the frame rate
is smooth. Its nice to see a "Star Wars" game meet the expectations of gamers for once. If you have a Dreamcast then
get this one. Recommended...............................8.0
